The Challenge

Refraction is a new-age skincare brand built on the philosophy of clean beauty, transparency, and science-backed formulations. As they prepared to enter the D2C market, they needed a visually immersive, fast-loading, and conversion-friendly website that reflected their brand story while making shopping intuitive for first-time and returning users alike.

The brand didn’t just need an online store—they needed a flagship digital experience that communicated trust, luxury, and clarity in equal measure.

Our Approach

Scribble Scrolls took on the complete ownership of website UI/UX, copy structure, and front-end development. We began with a deep dive into the brand’s identity—understanding their values, product formulation process, and competitor landscape.

  • Brand Story First: The homepage was built to balance brand values, product highlights, and credibility markers (ingredients, clean label, cruelty-free, etc.) without overwhelming the user.
  • Product-Centric Experience: With high-quality imagery, ingredient pop-ups, and review blocks, we designed PDPs (Product Detail Pages) to convert browsers into buyers.
  • Mobile-First Design: Given the target audience’s behavior, we optimized the layout for thumb-friendly navigation, sticky CTAs, and smooth scroll transitions.
  • Speed & SEO: We developed the website to be lightweight and technically clean—ensuring fast load times, SEO compatibility, and ease of future integrations.

 

  • Content Integration: Seamless support for blog articles, skin guides, and testimonials to build trust and keep users engaged longer.

The Impact

The final website helped Refraction launch strong, with users praising the ease of navigation and elegant look. The clean product page layout improved time-on-page, and users found the product information easier to digest, resulting in higher add-to-cart rates within the first two months of launch.

The site also became a key anchor point for performance marketers to drive ad traffic, with low bounce rates and high session duration—a testament to both performance and aesthetics.
